• As the first metro line in Shanxi Province, Taiyuan Metro Line 2 serves as the main north-south backbone of Taiyuan's rail transit network. The Phase I route starts from Xiqiao Station in the south, runs northward along central Taiyuan roads such as Renmin Road, Changzhi Road, and Jiefang Road, and ends at Jiancaoping Station, spanning 23.647 kilometers in total.
• Since its operation, it has significantly strengthened rapid connectivity between Taiyuan's main urban area and new districts, improved the quality and efficiency of public transportation, alleviated urban traffic pressure, optimized urban spatial layout, and stimulated economic growth.
